Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP)
- SNAP helps low-income people and families buy the food they need for good health. You apply for benefits by completing a State application form. Benefits are provided on an electronic card that is used like an ATM card and accepted at most grocery stores.
- Through nutrition education partners, SNAP helps clients learn to make healthy eating and active lifestyle choices.
The Easley Farmer’s Market has been approved to accept SNAP Benefits. These benefits can be used to buy fruits and vegetables, breads, meats, fish, poultry, and dairy products. It can also be used to buy plants which produce food.
To apply for the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), you must fill out an application and return it to a local SNAP office.
