Resolution No. 2011-17:
A RESOLUTION To Endorse a Community Garden in the City of Easley
WHEREAS, the City of Easley has operated a weekly Farmers Market for the past three seasons; and WHEREAS, the City of Easley’s Farmer’s Market Committee listened to a presentation regarding the benefits of a community garden; and WHEREAS, the community garden will be used to produce fresh fruits and vegetables for local food banks, and community organizations feeding hungry and needy people; and WHEREAS, the cost of the garden is minimal and will be staffed by volunteers; NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF EASLEY, SOUTH CAROLINA: The City of Easley endorses a community garden.
